Yoko’s interest in baking and cake decorating started around 4 years ago by accident. After investing in a new oven, she never could find the time to use it! It was only when a technician came to service her washing machine and noticed that her oven looked super clean and asked her if she had ever used it. He then informed that if she doesn’t use it, it will not function well. Prompted by his comments, she decided to bake a cake to test the oven. Since then, she has never looked back and continues to bake and decorate cakes.
What started merely as a hobby, led Yoko to practice fervently at home, taking samples of her work to share with her fellow colleagues and friends. Yoko also started attending various cake decorating courses from all over the world to gain more experience and knowledge as her passion increased. Yoko targeted and began attending courses with famous instructors who specialize in figurine modeling, royal icing and sugar flower modeling. With the experience Yoko has gained, she brings a fresh and fun approach to baking, modeling and decorating with the intention of bringing out the creativity in people of all ages and abilities in her classes. Yoko does not hesitate to share her experiences and passion. Join her courses for some fun and creative times at Artistiq Sugarcraft!
